Photography

Students develop the knowledge of how a variety of historic and contemporary photographers communicate their ideas through text and imagery. Learners will use, digital photography and traditional art media to record ideas and develop personal responses.

During the course of study, students will develop their expertise in a range of photographic techniques and processes including lighting, viewpoint, aperture, depth of field, shutter speed and movement and use media and materials such as photographic papers, digital programs and technologies including Microsoft and Adobe software for storyboarding, planning and constructing shoots and to develop personal responses to assignment briefs.
