 Future Opportunities and Careers

English is a core subject that allows opportunities in all careers. The skills required for success in English also allow students to remove barriers that could otherwise prevent them from certain career paths. English links closely to careers in Law, Business, Advertising and Publishing, but in reality, they also offer a gateway into becoming successful in any career.

Further Information: There are no tiers for GCSE English, all students sit the same paper. Although there is lots of discussion and debate within the English GCSE course, there is also a lot of extended writing.
