Form Tutor Groups

Ensuring student wellbeing is fundamental to all the Academy’s structures for support and guidance. Leeds City Academy builds positive relationships and a common sense of purpose which students actively share.

The Form Tutor monitors each student’s academic progress and personal development, and are a regular, supportive point of contact for students. During form time, students have the opportunity to attend assemblies and academic lectures, discuss their well-being and develop their literacy skills via our form time reading program.

Citizenship, together with Personal, Social and Health Education is a shared experience within Home Teams through Step Up Days. During these sessions, each school within the Academy focuses on individual personal development, with Form Tutors and home teams participating in a wide programme of active learning events both inside and beyond the Academy.
