BRAVE presentation at LCA

BRAVE (Building Resilience Against Violence and Extremism) facilitated by Joe Malloy, from Connect Futures, and Arnold Yousaf, from St Giles Trust, came into Leeds City Academy on Thursday 24th January 2019.

All students from Year 7-10 took part in a very powerful presentation that clearly explained some of the challenges that young people face in today’s world.

In particular, students were educated around County Lines (Criminal Exploitation) and the four stages of grooming as gangs and organised crime networks exploit young people to sell drugs. Students listened attentively and asked interesting questions.

We would like to than Joe and Arnold for coming into the Academy and spending time with our students. It was a very insightful presentation.
