Careers Guidance and Employability

It has been a very busy year for CEIAG at Leeds City Academy as a host of activities and trips have been arranged to help students plan for their future. Students have taken part in a number of workshops where they have worked alongside professionals from a variety of industries and they have learnt new skills. Businesses and Partners that the Academy is proud to have worked with this year include Nestle, Keepmoat, DLA Piper, Northern Gas Networks, Rollits, Leeds City College and Leeds College of Building.

The various activities across all Year groups include workshops with a STEM focus, cake decorating, careers, business and enterprise day and various mentoring programmes. Other activities include visits to the apprenticeship fair, pantomime, ‘Big Conversation Yorkshire’ and a new work experience programme for Year 10 students. Over the summer period two of our students will be working at the Nestle centre in York and another student will be working at Keepmoat.
