GCSE RESULTS DAY

Leeds City Academy is proud to celebrate a fantastic GCSE Results Day, recognising the hard work, determination, and achievements of our Year 11 students.
This morning, students arrived at the academy with excitement and anticipation, joined by staff, family members, and friends who came together to mark this important milestone. The atmosphere was one of pride and celebration, as students opened their results and looked ahead to the next steps in their journeys.
Whether moving on to sixth form, college, apprenticeships, or other post-16 pathways, we are incredibly proud of every single student.
As well as celebrating individual successes, this year marks a historic achievement for Leeds City Academy, with the school reaching its highest ever results in English and maths. A record-breaking number of students achieved grade 4+ and 5+ in both subjects, reflecting our continued focus on academic excellence and high expectations.
It has also been a landmark year for students with SEND, who achieved the highest levels of attainment in the school’s history, a testament to their resilience and the dedicated support of our staff.
A Message from Principal Mr Chattoe:
“We are thrilled to celebrate another exceptional set of results from our brilliant Year 11 students. These achievements are a powerful reflection of the sustained and significant improvement journey that Leeds City Academy has undertaken in recent years.
This morning, our leadership team, staff, and students came together to mark this success—sharing in the pride and joy of these outstanding outcomes.
While we are delighted by the continued progress across many areas, we are especially proud of the record-breaking number of students achieving grade 4+ and 5+ in both English and maths—our highest ever. This milestone not only highlights academic excellence but also unlocks opportunities for more students to confidently pursue their chosen post-16 pathways.
It has also been a landmark year for our students with SEND, who have achieved the highest levels of attainment in the school’s history. Their remarkable progress is a testament to their resilience and the unwavering support of our dedicated staff.
The strong partnership and positive relationships between staff and students have been instrumental in driving these results and sustaining our improvement journey. We are immensely proud of the engagement, dedication, and ambition our young people have shown throughout their time at Leeds City Academy.
We wish them every success in their next steps and look forward to seeing all they will accomplish in the exciting future ahead.”
