LCA Go4SET Project Final

On Monday 17th June, Leeds City Academy Year 8 students attended the Go4SET Project final.

A number of Year 8 Maths students entered a 10 week programme entitled Go4SET.  This project/competition is designed by the Engineering Development Trust (EDT). Work related learning within an industry and enterprise context is at the core of the Go4SET experience. 

The students were supported by mentors from Network Rail and Arup Engineering and all students that took part received their Bronze Industrial Cadet award. 

Team ‘Modco’ from Leeds City Academy went on to receive the ‘People’s Choice’ award at the finals which were held at Leeds Beckett University on Monday 17th June.
