LCA achieves careers standard

We are proud to announce that Leeds City Academy has been recognised for outstanding careers work.

We have been awarded the National Quality in Careers Standard award under licence by Prospects. The National Quality in Careers Standard is awarded to education providers who clearly showcase the importance of careers guidance and support every student throughout their time at school and beyond.

At Leeds City Academy, we are continually working to improve the chances and opportunities of all the students. Recognising the importance of preparing students for their future careers, we began working towards the National Quality in Careers Standard.

Achieving the National Quality in Careers Standard shows how our Principal Mr Chattoe, Governors and Leadership Team embrace, promote and endorse quality careers education and recognise the part it plays in the overall success of the academy and our students. We offer a wide range of activities to introduce students to the world of work and helps them make decisions about life after Leeds City Academy.

Ms Ward, CEIAG Manager, commented "Achieving the National Quality in Careers Standard  is a tremendous sense of achievement and demonstrates our collaborative approach in delivering a clear, comprehensive and progressive careers programme across all year groups at the Academy."
