Rotary Leeds Young Citizen Award

LCA student wins Rotary Leeds Young Citizen Award. 

In January 2020 Grace, a Year 10 student at Leeds City Academy, received a Rotary Leeds Young Citizen Award.

Rotary Leeds present awards to outstanding young people from schools and youth organisations in the district who give exceptional service to their community.

Mr Chattoe, Principal of Leeds City Academy said, “Grace is an amazing & truly inspirational young woman. She continues to strive at school, has the aspiration to become a Doctor and her greatest quality is the care, compassion and commitment she has in ensuring her friends and peers are happy &feel safe.”

Ms Lesley Hastings, Chair of Youth Opportunities at Rotary Club of Leeds, has now nominated Grace for a Rotary National Award, which are presented in May.

Mr Whitaker, CEO of the White Rose Academies Trust, commented “May I express my warmest congratulations to an alumni member of the Trust Student Leadership Group on this special and significant recognition.

“Grace is a wonderful young woman with an exciting future ahead of her.
