Students Achieve Awards in UKMT Challenge

Celebrating Mathematic Success 

Congratulations to students at Leeds City Academy, who took part in the UKMT challenge and won the following awards:

• Rayan - Best in School/Best in Year 8 / Silver
• Kourosh - Best in Year 7 / Silver
• Firouza -Bronze
• Love- Bronze

The students have been presented with certificates in assembly in recognition of their fantastic achievements.  

The Junior Challenge is aimed at students in Year 8 or below and is the UK's most popular mathematics competition with over 300 000 students taking part each year.  Bronze is for the top 40% and silver for the top 20%.

 Ms Gunson added: “I am so proud of all the students who took part in the maths challenge. It just shows that hard work pays off!”
