Visit to The Grand Opera House, York

On Tuesday 17th September, Leeds City Academy students were given the exciting opportunity to attend a ‘Shrek’ Musical Experience Day at The Grand Opera House, York.

All students took part in a tour backstage, exploring costumes, set and props and then in the afternoon took part in a vocal workshop and script work with the actor who plays Shrek and our vocal coach!

Every student joined in and displayed a positive attitude, even those who were outside their comfort zone. Our students commented on how grateful they were to have had this experience and stand on the set of 'Shrek'!
