Winners of Nameste Youth Project Award
Taking home the top High School prize
Leeds City Academy’s equality and diversity project in the library ‘The Togetherness Project’ was one of 10 Leeds schools shortlisted for the Nameste Youth Project Award. The award ceremony was held at the Civic Hall earlier this month.
Four awards were to be given: Overall Award, High School Runner Up Award, Primary Runner Up Award and the Khir Johari International Award.
We are pleased to announce that Leeds City Academy Library won the High School Award!

Mrs Harness and Mrs Goddard said “We are over the moon to have won this competition. We are hoping to buy books about mental health and mindfulness for the library with our prize money.
“The entries from all the schools were very high so we were extremely pleased to say the least.”
