Young Outstanding Presenters

Leeds City Academy competed in the Northern Gas Networks Outstanding Presenter Competition this term, with finals being held at The Tetley's on 26th May.

Outstanding Presenter Competition was piloted last year with just two schools competing, however this year the number of schools competing grew quite considerably to six.

The finals were held in conjunction with the Northern Gas Networks employee finalists, with many lessons to be learned by all competitors. This offered an exciting opportunity for students to showcase their skills before a large audience and the CEO of Northern Gas Networks.

Ms Ward said: “The enthusiasm, hard work and dedication of the Year 9 Leeds City Academy students is commendable and all five students deserved a place in the finals but sadly the competition rules stipulate only two finalists from each school. I am extremely proud of each student’s commitment to the competition and the quality of their presentations. Well done to all students, who hopefully will be able to mentor Year 9 students through the process next academic year.”
