Pupil Premium Strategy

Pupil Premium Funding Report

The Pupil Premium is funding additional to the main school budget from the government, which is based on the number of students within the Academy who have received Free School Meals within the last seven years. Additional funding is also provided for children who are looked after and the children of service personnel.  This significant extra resource is targeted to support students who require extra intervention to enable them to achieve their full potential.

It is for schools to decide how the additional funding is spent, provided it is used to close the gap between the achievement of students who receive Pupil Premium and their peers.

The following document outlines how the Academy has invested the funds for students supported by the Pupil Premium Funding in 2015-16. It also demonstrates how the Academy intends to distribute funds this academic year.
