Trevor has been teaching Mathematics to students in West Yorkshire for over 20 years and prior to joining Leeds City Academy he has taught at four inclusive comprehensive schools in the Halifax and Leeds areas. For the past 4 years he was Assistant Principal at Leeds West Academy responsible for assessment, attendance and inclusion and played an integral part in securing the Good Ofsted rating for the school in May 2019. He implemented a robust assessment system which enabled the accurate tracking of progress. This increased accuracy of the student data allowed targeted support and intervention to be delivered which led to improved results and understanding in all years.
As Head of Mathematics at Ryburn Valley High School and briefly at Leeds West Academy he was successful in improving results year on year and securing improved progress for the students. He has always delivered excellent lessons to the full age an ability range at all the schools, including A level Maths and Further Maths. He has a passion for teaching Maths and a desire to provide the best education for all students.
Trevor is devoted to his family and works hard to enable them to have the best future possible. He is a keen baker and has won a few of the staff baking competitions with his unique creations.
